Household Hazardous Waste Drop-off Days Announced

Augusta Township has announced the dates for dropping off household hazardous waste.

There will be three dates and five locations where residents’ area will be able to drop off their hazardous waste products free of charge. Residents of Leeds & Grenville, Prescott and Gananoque can dispose of products like pesticides, paints, bleach and drain cleaner at whichever location is closest.

According to the release certain items like tires, explosives and commercial or industrial waste will not be accepted. They also stress waste from other municipalities, including the City of Brockville, would not be accepted. Waste should be brought in its original container, not mixed.

The first drop off is July 14th from 8:30am to 2:00pm at the Lombardy Fair Grounds. On Augusta 18th residents can puck between either the County Patrol Garage in Frankville or the South Leeds County Patrol Garage, both are open from 8:30am to 2:00pm. Finally the South Grenville County Patrol Garage East of Spencerville and North Grenville County Patrol Garage will be taking drop offs on September 22nd. The South Grenville location will be open from 8:30am to 11:30am and the North Grenville location from 1:00pm to 4:00pm.
