The OPP are reminding everyone to be very careful around water this spring.
Spring rain, melting snow and higher daytime temperatures are starting to raise water levels across Grenville. Police want to remind the public that water can be dangerously cold with strong and faster moving currents this time of year. According to the OPP even areas like culverts can become very dangerous for children who may want to ply at the water’s edge.
Boaters are reminded to be on the lookout for floating debris carried into the river by rising water levels and increased currents. For up to the date information about water levels click here.
