Millions of dollars are being spent in Ontario for Senior’s Centers and KDHS is hoping for a piece of the pie.
At Monday night’s Council meeting Susan Smith, Executive Director of Kemptville & District Home Support put forward a proposal to address ongoing requests from seniors in the area. In her address, Smith described how much the organization does for local seniors and says since the province is building new centres, Kemptville should have one
Kemptville District Home Support provides a long list of services and activities for seniors in the area, as well as 6 bus trips each year. Recent Census data suggests that there are now more seniors than children in Canada. The province said in the 2017 Budget that they would be investing millions over three years, to create the 40 new centres.
