Drugs, Weapons and Cash Seized

The OPP have released details from a series of raids that turned up large quantities of drugs, weapons and currency.

Juice FM reported last week that multiple raids took place at residences and one business throughout North Glengarry & Alexandria. Those raids led to the arrest of 9 individuals, all of whom are from North Glengarry and all are now facing various charges.

OPP Const Tylor Copeland says that the estimated street value of the drugs is over $42,000 and included methamphetamine pills, marijuana, hash, fentanyl and hydromorphone. The weapons seized included handguns, takers, long guns and more all well.

As per the release from the OPP in Stormont, Dundas & Glengarry says: Project REDSTART was executed with the assistance of OPP Tactical Rescue Unit, Emergency Response Team, Canine Unit, Organized Crime Enforcement Bureau, Cornwall Community Police Service and SD&G OPP. The officers executed a Controlled Drugs and Substances Search Warrant on several residences and one business in the Village of Alexandria, North Glengarry Township.

This resulted in the seizure of a quantity of drugs:
– 2260 methamphetamine pills (speed)

– 1064 Hydromorphone pills

– 27 Fentanyl patches

– 594 grams of marihuana

– 66 grams of hash

The estimated street value of drugs seized is $42,540.

This also resulted in the seizure of a quantity of weapons and Canadian currency:
– 2 hand guns

– 2 Conducted Energy Weapons (Tasers)

– Nunchucks

– Over $15000 cash

– Multiple Long guns

– Ammunition

– 6 replica handguns
