UCDSB Quarterly Report

The Upper Canada District School Board’s Board of Trustees are up to date on upcoming challenges and priorities thanks to the Director’s Quarterly Report.

During the last board meeting Director Stephen Silwa presented the trustees with what he believed were the biggest challenges they would face over the next three months, as well as what he believes should be top priority. Silwa points to engaging the staffing process at all levels, introducing strategies to staff in order to promote the board’s priorities and following up on the last Program Accommodation Review as their biggest challenges this quarter.

He identifies the board’s biggest priorities over the next three months as continuing to introduce the Director’s Work Plan, supporting and developing a Work Plan for 2017-2018 and supporting budget presentations for the Spring of 2018.

On a lighter note Silwa also used this as a chance to highlight what he believes are the board’s three biggest achievements over the previous quarter. Allocating and introducing the district’s Rural and Northern Education Funding, hiring a new Superintendent of Business and the early introduction of the 2017-2018 Director’s Work Plan are all considered high points for the UCDSB.
