There are proposed changes coming to the Police Service Act and today is your chance to be heard.
This morning the Police Services Board will meet for the first time since changes were proposed that could see traditional police services boards disappear in favour of OPP Detachment Boards.
CAO Brian Carre says that these changes go against the principles of community policing and that the Municipal staff fully support the Association of Municipalities of Ontario s position on this matter:
