During the winter months it takes extra care to keep us healthy and the staff at KDH are being recognized for their efforts.
From cases of influenza motor vehicle accidents, hospital bed shortages, and more; the hospital’s CEO, Frank Vassallo issued a release thanking the entire KDH team for the grace, dedication and professionalism they are exhibiting under these pressures.
The staff at KDH prepare each year for the winter weather by developing what’s known as a ‘surge’ plan, to deal with the potential increase in patients. In addition, KDH staff have are diligent in preventing the spread of illness.
The release also says that while there is some indication that influenza activity is starting to slow down, KDH remains vigilant and prepared to handle any surges. They would also like to remind you to please not visit patients if you are experiencing flu or cold symptoms.
