Oxford-on-Rideau Public School will stay open for the duration of next year’s school year.

In a letter sent to parents, Superintendent of Schools David Coombs says that the Board of Trustees originally decided that the school would close and the students would transfer to the newly opened South Branch Elementary in September of this year. The letter goes on to say that after consulting with senior management, the decision has been made to push the closure date back to June 30th, 2019.

Coombs has invited all parents who have any questions to contact him directly or to get in touch with Oxford-on-Rideau’s principal.
