Residents are stepping up to help a young woman who is donating part of her liver to save her uncle’s life.
A special dart tournament is being held for Star who plans to donate the organ. The woman will have to take time off without pay and is looking at six to 12 weeks to recover. A group of people put together the “Hero’s Tournament” to help raise funds while Star is off.
The tournament takes place on February 17th at the Prescott Legion. You can put a team into the tournament by contacting Betty by email at [email protected]. You can also email [email protected] to register your team. There will be door prizes, raffles and a canteen during the event. The group says 100 percent of the proceeds will go to Star.
