After releasing a photo to the public, Ottawa Police have identified the man they call an important witness to a fatal stabbing on Elgin Street early Saturday morning. 21-year-old Jabeir Jemmie was stabbed near the intersection of Elgin Street and Frank Street around 2:30 a.m. August 23rd, and died in hospital a short time later. Police say the man was a witness to the incident, and not a suspect.
Investigators have no suspect in the case.
