As a wrap-up to the baseball season, and to celebrate the new Field of Dreams at Diamond 3, Kemptville District Little League executive challenged the Municipality of North Grenville and council to a ball game August 24. Mayor David Gordon can take credit for a great catch and for batting the last run in that would tie the game at 14, but he will be most remembered for his home plate pirouettes. The Municipality supported KDLL in their proposal to the Ontario Trillium Foundation, which provided numerous upgrades to the ball diamond. It is by all accounts now one of the best in Eastern Ontario.
