2018 Canada Summer Job Program applications open next week.
Local Member of Parliament Gord Brown is reminding the public that the application period starts on December 19th and closes February 2nd. The program provides funding for not-for-profit organizations, public sector employers and small businesses to create summer job opportunities. Companies interested in applying must have 50 or fewer employees and all positions must go to students between the ages of 15 and 30.
Applications will be available at Service Canada Centers or online here. MP Brown adds that the budget for Leeds-Grenville-Thousand Islands is the same as last year at just over $550,000.
