Applications are now being accepted for the second Women in Trades session.
With the first class of the Women’s in Trades program having transitioned to workplace experience the Employment and Education Centre is looking for new participants. Registration is already underway and information sessions are being held on November 23rd from 9:00am to 10:00am, November 29th from 11:00am to noon and December 6th from 5:00pm until 6:00pm.
The program is open to women between the age of 15 and 30 who are interested in obtaining a career in the trades. Applicants must be able to commit to five weeks of pre-employment training. Candidates who are full time students, have full time employment or are presently on employment insurance are not eligible.
The second session will start on January 8th.
