North Grenville receives funding for Campus rejuvenation

The Municipality of North Grenville is receiving an investment from the Grenville Community Futures Development Corporation.

Through the Eastern Ontario Development Program’s Community Innovation project stream the municipality is going to receive just under $85,000. The Kemptville College sale must be completed before the municipality can receive the money.

According to the Development Corporation the funds will help turn the Kemptville Campus into a multi-tenant education and community hub focused on: education and training, health and wellness and economic development. The project will be a partnership between the municipality and Eastern Ontario French Public School Board.

School Board President Linda Savard says the investment shows a clear interest from all parties in joining forces to give new life to a historical asset. The French school board opened the first French-language school in North Grenville on the campus in 2016.
