A local student has won gold at the Upper Canada Cup Cross Country Championships.
Lukas Leroux from Kemptville Public School finished first place in the Grade Five Boy’s Championships.
Leroux, who has now won for the second year running, ran the 2.4 kilometre race in just 9 minutes 41 seconds. The next closest runner to Leroux finished 19 seconds behind him.
Cameron McNulty also from Kemptville Public School, finished in the top 10 as well placing sixth.
