Provincial infrastructure investments 2017

Province outlines major local infrastructure investments of 2017

The province says significant progress has been made on over 190 infrastructure projects across Ontario, including some local ones.

The province says this is part of an over $190-billion investment over 13 years into hospitals, schools, public transit, roads and bridges.

Between May and September, more than $13-million was put towards building Kemptville Public School, which can accommodate up to 412 students in the growing community. Two-million-dollars was put towards replacing water mains, storm sewers, and repairs on St. Lawrence Street in Prescott.

Meanwhile, more than $23-million will be put towards newly started road repair projects on Maitland Road, Sharpes Lane, Mallorytown Road, and the Thousand Islands Parkway.
