The Old Town Kemptville BIA is making some requests of North Grenville Council with budget deliberations coming up.

Chair Debbie Wilson and Executive Director John Barclay have asked council to consider a number of capital projects. Those include:

  • Improving parking in the downtown core
  • Completing the Waterfront Trail from Barnes Street to Prescott Street along the waterfront
  • Increasing the Rideau-Sanders Prescott Community Improvement Plan budget and adding a downtown residential intensification program
  • Providing support for year two of the pop-up shop program
  • Erecting a community information kiosk downtown
  • Repairing existing sidewalks to improve walkability downtown
  • Both Wilson and Barclay have been asked to present their ideas to the respective councillors based on the committees they chair.

The public is being asked to suggest projects to council members by October 20th. You can learn more about what committees each councillor chairs by going here.
