New members needed for Accessibility Advisory Committee

The Municipality of North Grenville is looking for a few more members for the Accessibility Advisory Committee.

The committee is in place to assist the municipality in carrying out duties outlined in the Ontarians with Disabilities Act. The committee also works in conjunction with staff, consults with community members, stakeholder groups, and other people on matters related to accessibility.

Committee Chair and Councillor Frank Onasanya says they’re looking for people who can bring input in how best to advise the municipality when it comes to accessibility.

Meetings take place at least quarterly. If you’re interested in participating, contact the municipal office at 613-258-9569. The municipality says it would like to fill the available positions quickly.
