It’s time to think about what you could do with a dream home.
CHEO has launched its annual Dream of a Lifetime Lottery.
The Minto Dream Home is the grand prize and is located at Chriscraft Way in Manotick. It’s valued at more than $1.6 million. The winner will also receive a number of other items as part of the lottery’s grand prize. There are other prizes as well.
Vice-President Development and Corporate Relations Dan Champagne says this fundraiser is an important one every year.
Champagne says some funds can go towards a number of things. When it comes to the needed items, a list is usually put together by the hospital with input from its different departments.
Champagne says funds can also be directed to help research at CHEO. One of big breakthroughs is on new cancer research. Champagne says that right now we see three pillars of treatment for cancer including radiation, surgery and chemotherapy. Researchers continue to work on a fourth pillar.
Tickets for the lottery are $100 each or three for $250. The final deadline to get tickets is Friday, December 8th. Learn more by going to the Dream of a Lifetime Lottery site.
