Over 120 people signed a petition asking for better speed limit signage in the Village of Bishops Mills. Resident Serge Lemieux spoke to North Grenville Municipal Council Monday night, saying an earlier request for increased policing has been respected, and you can almost set your watch by the cruiser driving through town each day, but more vigilance is required. The occasional RIDE program checkpoint wouldn’t be a bad idea either. Councillor Barb Tobin said you can be sure if you increase police presence, some of those same people who signed the petition might be complaining.
