Beth Donovan Hospice is getting a funding boost from the latest OPP Charity BBQ of the season.
More than $1,300 was raised for the hospice at Thursday’s event, sponsored by Tackaberry G & Sons Construction.
The weekly barbecues during the summer were started 17 years ago as a community outreach program.
Last year, OPP Community Services Constable Cathy Lindsey told Juice FM that the program had raised nearly $100,000 for charitable organizations over the years.
Next week’s barbecue will be sponsored by Lockwood Construction with proceeds going to North Grenville Accessible Transportation.
