School Bus Involved In Collision on Roger Stevens

A 70-year old woman has been critically injured following a collision at Roger Stevens Dr & McCordick, this morning.

CBC Ottawa is reporting that the collision took place around 7:30 this morning and saw a school bus collide with a mobile crane.

The drive of the school bus, a 70 year old woman was airlifted to Ottawa’s Trauma Center and is listed in critical condition. The driver of the crane, a 47 year old man was taken by Leeds & Grenville Paramedics to Kemptville District Hospital but was listed in stable condition.

A 17 year old girl was the only passenger on the school bus however authorities say she was assessed at the scene and did not need to be transferred to hospital.

The intersection remains closed at this time and drivers are being asked to avoid the area as the investigation in ongoing.
