Committee of the Whole: no green boxes for "green and growing" North Grenville

North Grenville won’t be getting green boxes any time soon. The Department of Public Works has decided not to recommend the Organics Collection Program for North Grenville, due to the findings of an online survey conducted by the Waste Reduction Committee last year. The survey showed that 68% of North Grenville residents already do backyard composting and would not find the green box program useful. The Committee is assisting the Public Works Department in looking at ways to increase the amount of waste diversion in North Grenville.
