Leeds Grenville MP Gord Brown supports Harper's new Trade Agreement

Canada’s new trade agreement is getting a vote of confidence from Leeds Grenville MP Gord Brown. In a press release sent June 23, Brown said the Harper government’s plan supports Canadian workers and businesses for continued success, economic growth and prosperity in Leeds-Grenville and across Canada. The agreement is the biggest trade agreement that Canada has ever developed, and it promises to generate substantial gains across all key economic sectors covering every region of the country.
Brown said Canada will be one of the only developed countries to have preferential access to the world’s two largest markets: the European Union and the United States. The competitive edge and combined access to these markets—and their more than 800 million affluent consumers—will make Canada the envy of trading nations all over the world.
