Scarborough man arrested for gas theft in Kemptville and South Dundas

A 27-year-old man from Scarborough is in custody after ripping off a gas station. Around 4:20am Tuesday, Stormont, Dundas & Glengarry OPP officers were called to a report of theft at the ONroute station on the 401 at South Dundas. Investigation showed the accused left without paying for gas and food. The vehicle was stopped by police and the man was arrested.

Further investigation revealed he was also responsible for a gas-and-dash at a station on County Road 43 in Kemptville on Monday. He is charged with two counts of theft under $5,000 and is awaiting a bail hearing.
