June is Seniors’ Month. North Grenville grocery stores have agreed to help raise funds for seniors’ services at Kemptville & District Home Support. This year marks the 35th anniversary of KDHSI providing services to seniors in the community such as Meals on Wheels, transportation to appointments, Diners’ Club, foot care and social activities.
From June 1st to June 8th, cashiers at the B&H, Jonsson’s Independent and Food Basics will be asking customers if they would like to donate to KDHSI, by purchasing a specially designed anniversary sticker. KDHSI relies on over $50,000 to be raised each year in the community. Local service clubs and businesses as well as individuals continue to support this worthwhile organization.
