A Spencerville drug bust has left police with over $300,000 in contraband.
Grenville County OPP say on August 11th at approximately 10:00am a Controlled Drugs and Substance Act search warrant was executed by the Street Crime Unit and OPP Emergency Response team. The warrant was for a residence in Edwardsburgh/Cardinal Township on Crowder Road. Police say a 65-year-old man was arrested and officers seized marijuana, marijuana plants, cannabis resin and growing equipment with an estimated street value of over $350,000.
The accused has been charged with producing a schedule two controlled substance, possession of a schedule two controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking-over 3 kilograms and possession of a schedule two controlled substance-cannabis resin over 1 gram.
