See guide dogs in action at an open tour day

If you’ve ever wanted to see where guide dogs for people who are visually impaired are trained, there’s a special event happening in August.

The Canadian Guide Dogs for the Blind will host an open tour day at the National Training Centre in Manotick from noon to 3:00pm on Thursday, August 3rd.

The tours will include a chance to watch guide dog training demonstrations at 12:15, 1:00pm 1:45pm and 2:30pm.

Officials at the organization say admission and parking are free, but donations are being accepted.
