A young man has reportedly drowned in the Rideau River in Ottawa.
Multiple media sources are reporting that the body of the man was recovered from the water near the area between Hunt Club and Hogs Back.
They are reporting that the man was swimming with friends early yesterday afternoon when he went under water.
Ottawa Police and Ottawa Paramedic Service had closed the area to boaters as the search took place.

No other information has been released on the man’s identity.
