A Prescott woman has been confirmed as one of the victims of a triple homicide in Shawinigan, Quebec.
Surete Du Quebec says Jeanette Lauzon Toupin was one of three women killed and while police were able to confirm the names of the victims, they could not say how they died. The primary suspect in this investigation is 51-year-old Sylvain Duquette and police say they believe he knew all of the victims.
Duquette, who has been charged with 3 counts of first-degree murder, was arrested at a gas station on Wednesday after one of his victims allegedly called 9-1-1.
He appeared in Shawinigan court that afternoon and will be back in court on Thursday, April 13.
