Officials happy with results from simulated emergency in county

Officials are impressed with how the county dealt with an emergency simulation. Most municipalities within Leeds and Grenville held an emergency exercise simulating widespread tornado damage last Tuesday. More than 75 emergency response officials participated in the mock severe storm with tornadoes, down bursts, multi-vehicle crashes and a chemical spill. Warden David Gordon says the importance of the exercise was to safeguard the health and well-being of our communities. Emergency Management Field Officer Lisa Harvey says she was very impressed with communication between the county and local municipalities.
