Local Catholic schools see great results in EQAO standardized testing

Both St. Michael Catholic High School and Holy Cross Catholic School have seen some great results compared to last year when it comes to standardized testing. While grade three students saw some drops in literacy and math results, they’re still well above the provincial average. Grade six students have fallen below the provincial standard when it comes to reading, writing and math, however. That’s a change from last year when grade six students performed above average. Grade nine students saw an increase in results when it comes to applied mathematics. Thirty percent more students meet the provincial standard at St. Mikes compared to the provincial average.
