North Grenville Youth Up! is asking residents to spend an hour shoeless. The organization continues to bring awareness to youth homelessness with their latest fundraising campaign. They’re asking people to text BOOTSOFF to 41010 and donate $10. Then people are asked to go bootless or shoeless for an hour and challenge friends to do the same. Member of North Grenville Youth Up! Craig McCormick says the money will be split between two organizations.
The organization is also hoping businesses will help with the Push for Change campaign by getting their name on a shopping cart. The organization is asking businesses for a donation of $100. In exchange, they have their business name placed on a shopping cart that’s on display. McCormick says he hopes people will see the support they’re getting.
