Detours will affect motorists over the next few months around bridge construction in the county. Factory Bridge on the south end of Oxford Mills on County Road 18 is expected to be closed to vehicle traffic until late October. On South Gower Drive, Sloan’s Bridge will also be closed for about eight weeks. There will be a detour between Hess and Slater roads. Detours are also expected around Smiley’s Bridge on County Road 15 between County Road 26 and Algonquin as well as Butler Creek Culvert on County Road 26 between North Augusta Road and Kelly Road. All work is expected to be completed by November of this year.
