72 hour emergency kits to be made available to some vulnerable residents through local partnership

Some vulnerable members in our community will be getting a free 72-hour emergency kit. North Grenville Emergency & Protective Services have been promoting the idea of being sustainable for 72 hours in the case of an emergency with a kit since they presented to North Grenville Council in April. Director of Emergency & Protective Services Paul Hutt announced a partnership, at last night’s council meeting, with two insurance companies to provide some kits.

Hutt explains how they’ll choose who gets the free kits.

Hutt says kits are available to cover the needs of two people but larger kits are also available for families.
