North Grenville OPP busy with 91 calls last week

OPP in North Grenville were busy last week. On Tuesday police were called about a suspicious person near TD Bank on Colonnade Drive. A 46-year-old Ottawa woman was asking for money from people. She was charged with soliciting near an ATM, contrary to the Safe Street Act. On Wednesday, fuel was stolen from a tank at Pirate Cove Marina on Rideau River Road. Investigation continues. On Saturday night, police were called to a vehicle at Knights Inn on County Road 43. A man was seen running from the vehicle into the bush. The 41-year-old North Dundas man was found and arrested. He was charged for failing to remain and report an accident, careless driving and possession of cocaine. Police also responded to 88 other incidents in the area throughout the week.
